Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of rasvec.com and the Organic Contour Vector Engine hosted on it (together, "the site"). Using the site means you accept them. They are deliberately short, because the site does very little on your behalf.

The service

The site provides a free tool that converts raster images (PNG and JPG) into SVG vector artwork. The conversion runs entirely in your web browser, on your own computer. No image you load is uploaded to rasvec.com or to any server. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what data the site does and does not handle.

Your images and your output

You keep all rights in the images you load and in the SVG and PNG files the tool produces from them. We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, either — we never receive them in the first place.

You are responsible for having the right to use the images you load. Do not use the site to process material you do not own or have permission to use. Vectorizing an image does not create any new right in it: a traced logo is still someone's trademark, and a traced photograph is still someone's copyrighted work.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, redistribute the tool as your own, or use the site to process unlawful material. Beyond that, commercial and personal use are both fine and no attribution is required.

Advertising

The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are supplied by third parties and their content is not reviewed or endorsed by us. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. Cookie and personalisation details, including how to opt out, are in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and free of charge, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available, that it will work in any particular browser, or that a conversion will be suitable for your purpose. Vector tracing is approximate by nature; the output is a machine's interpretation of your image and may need manual correction.

Because everything runs locally, the practical risk is small — but keep your original files. A browser tab that crashes mid-conversion takes the unsaved result with it, and nothing here is stored or recoverable afterwards.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost work, lost data, or any consequence of using output produced by the tool. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
